Well, I have finally gotten round to doing an olympic themed nail art. :) It’s taken a while, I know! I wasn’t that fussed about them until they started, I have been watching it a bit though. I was watching it not long ago as Team GB won gold in the show jumping! The equestrian sports are definitely my favourite to watch. :)
So here are my olympic nails…
They’re not the best but this was the first time I’d done this on my own nails. Not too bad for a first attempt I don’t think. I did use my nail art pens to do the union jacks and the LDN 2012, the olympic rings are nail decorations. If you want to try this out but don’t have nail art pens don’t worry, I did this on a set of false nails using a hair grip (as always! ha!) and it looked pretty much as good as these, it just takes practice. I also tried just using the edge of the polish brush, but that didn’t go as well. You need a very steady hand to do it that way!
I used Barry M Cobalt Blue (it’s the brightest blue I own) and Revlon White On White for the base colours. :)
Ra ♥
the cutest! you guys are so cool with nail arts. I’m just hopeless LOL
Thank you! They’re really not that difficult, you should give some a go. :)
My nails are very short since it’s better when you have a baby around. ;-) Although I do enjoy a spa pedicure deluxe every now and then, but I always leave the painting to the experts. ;-)
These are so cute – awesome work! I admire your steady hand. :)
