Born Pretty Store: Simple Silhouette

I have my first Born Pretty Store post of the year to share with you and it’s definitely a good one!

I’m a huge fan of stamping plates, as I’m sure you know, and this one is gorgeous! There are 29 beautiful images for you to get creative with and I just love the classic silhouette style of each one!

The first look I tried out was this pretty pastel design..

I’ve gone for a soft gradient look with a little sparkle at the tips to match the adorable rainy day silhouette.

For my second design I went with a much bolder colour selection.

I used a white base polish and then brushed on a few bright shades. I love the contrast with the black images!

Each design transferred really well on to the nails and they look amazing too! This plate is a simple but stylish offering from Born Pretty Store and one I would definitely recommend.

Born Pretty Store: Autumn Stamping Plate

Today I have another stamping plate from Born Pretty Store to share with you! This one is full of incredible designs!

I just love this! Every image is really detailed and coming up with nail designs to show off this plate was so fun!

This look was the first design I tried and I am definitely impressed with how well it turned out! I used a white base colour then sponged on pastel shades to create a little more depth behind the print. I know this would look great in lots of other colours too!

 

My next look is super easy but I really like the simplicity of the little dragonflies!

 

As with every plate I’ve tried from Born Pretty Store, this plate is fantastic quality and all the designs transfer beautifully onto the nails! Definitely a must for any nail art fan.

Born Pretty Store: Pretty In Pink!

Decals will always be a favourite way for me to get gorgeous nail art in a rush! I love that they come in every design you could ever want and today I’m sharing another pretty set from Born Pretty Store.

These decals really are lovely. The designs are simple but so beautiful! I love that these are just an outline as it means you can use them with any colour polish.

To me these have a little Disney princess vibe about them so that’s the inspiration behind this nail look..

Perfectly pink! With a little added sparkle of course!

As with every other set of decals from Born Pretty Store they are easy to use and look fantastic. Simply cut out the design and peel off the top film. Hold in water for around 20 seconds, slide the design off the backing and then place on your nail. I use a pair of tweezers to make sure the design goes exactly where I want it.

Born Pretty Store: Stamper & Scraper Set

Born Pretty Store very kindly sent me a few products to review and today I have the first one to share with you. I’ve not tried stamping nail art before so getting a stamping set and plates (which I will be sharing with you very soon!) was really great!

This stamper set comes in a vibrant pink colour and is the perfect size to transfer designs on to your nails easily. I think this is the perfect set for any stamping beginner! It’s simple to use, easy to clean and transfers the polish beautifully onto the nail.

As you can see, the scraper comes apart so you can clean it fully which is very useful! I used a cotton pad and nail polish remover to clean any excess polish which worked really well.

Unfortunately this set didn’t come with any instructions so I had to practice quite a bit to get the hang of transferring the designs neatly! I found it best to use the scraper at a about a 45 degree angle and to roll the Stamper gently over the image. Sometimes I have to clean up around the design on the Stamper before putting it on my nail but I’m sure I will get better at it the more I use it.

Overall, this is a great little set and one I definitely recommend!

Born Pretty Store: Nail Art Brushes

I’m always ready to try out any new effect polishes, nail decorations or tools to improve my nail art and Born Pretty Store recently sent me a set of 12 brushes to review.

As you can see, all the brushes are the same just in different colours. They came with little plastic caps to protect the bristles too which is very useful when storing them.

I’ve been practicing with these for about a week now and I just love them. Using brushes doesn’t turn you into an amazing artist (I was really hoping it would!) but it does make nail art a lot easier!

Here’s an autumn design I did using the brushes..

I found the brushes gave me better control when drawing designs and were fantastic for fine lines and detail.

I am also impressed with how well these clean after use. A quick rinse in nail polish remover was all that was needed. And the bristles haven’t gone stiff or stuck together which is brilliant! They are also great for cleaning up around the cuticles.

Born Pretty Store: Holographic Nail Polish

Yesterday on my instagram I gave a little sneak peek of possibly the most stunning polish in my collection and today I’m sharing my full review and swatches!

This is Born Pretty Store’s holographic polish in shade 3.

I found this polish really easy to apply, it went on well and dried in a good amount of time. I used three thin coats for my photos which gave perfect coverage.

I absolutely love any sparkly polish and this one is just fabulous! I don’t think these photos show just how beautiful it really is. The way it catches the light is amazing!

However, at $22.88 (roughly £14.09) for only 6ml it is expensive. But if you can afford it this is definitely worth having in your collection. This holographic nail polish really is stunning!

Born Pretty Store: Rectangle Nail Art Rhinestones

In recent months I have become quite obsessed with nail art embellishments. I now have a growing collection of rhinestones, studs, gems and fimo shapes! And Born Pretty Store were kind enough to send me a set of lovely rhinestones to add to it along with some gorgeous decals that I will share in another post very soon.

This set contains small rectangle rhinestones in 12 pretty colours! I love that these are so small and the shape is great for so many different nail art designs. It’s also nice to see something different to the usual squares!

I used the black rhinestones to create this fun design..

I would definitely recommend this set for anyone that loves nail embellishments. The colours are fantastic and with them being so small I found that they last longer on the nail than larger studs.
