Makeup Revolution: Nail Polish Swatches Part 8

I have more Makeup Revolution swatches for you today! As with my last set of swatches, these are mostly light shades so for best results I’ve used three thin coats.

Still Missing My Baby is a nice ivory polish. In some lights this has a slight lemon tone and in others it looks like a delicate antique cream. I’m not usually a fan of white polishes on their own, I prefer to use them just for nail art, but this is one I would make an exception for.

Luxury Cream is a crisp white shade. As I’ve said, I really only wear white polish if I’m doing nail art over it, so this isn’t something you will see alone on my nails again. However, this is a perfect base for a little fancy art or to be used for detail in any design.

Promises is a lovely shade of grey. It’s a nice neutral tone so is perfect for everyday/work wear!

Hopes and Dreams is a light metallic grey/silver. This has a slightly thicker formula than the other polishes from Makeup Revolution and dries to a semi-matte finish.

Maybe Tonight is a dark grey with a small amount of gold shimmer. This is such a spectacular colour! Definitely a favourite of mine.

Makeup Revolution: Nail Polish Swatches Part 7

It’s been a whole month since I last posted any Makeup Revolution nail polish swatches and today I finally have some more to show you! The 5 polishes in this post are all quite light shades so for best results with them I definitely recommend applying 3 thin coats to get full coverage. That’s exactly what I’ve done for these swatches so you can see how they each look. As with all my other swatches I’ve included two photos of each polish, one with flash and one without.

Are You Still Available is a soft smokey grey with purple undertones. This is such a lovely colour, the hints of purple really sets this aside from other greys I’ve seen. This is going to look incredible in early winter, it’s such a cosy shade!

Love Can Set You Free is a nice warm chocolate shade. It’s a really great colour, perfect for autumn! I think this darker neutral shade is just gorgeous.

You Are Amazing is a very difficult colour to describe! In some lights it’s a pretty grey shade and in others it has more of a creamy beige tone. Very nice everyday colour though!

Heart Was Broken is one of my favourites. It’s another neutral shade this time with a pink/lavender undertone. I think this polish is very pretty!

Change My Life is a classic nude polish. I’m not a huge fan of wearing nude shades on their own but as a base for nail art this is brilliant!

Makeup Revolution: Nail Polish Swatches Part 6

Today’s Makeup Revolution nail polish swatches are 5 pretty pink shades!

Love etc is a fuchsia polish. I love this shade, this purple toned pink is super pretty.

Look Of Love is a sweet cream polish. This is my idea of the perfect pink! It’s a great colour and will definitely be getting a lot of use this summer.

Who Got The Look? is a coral pink which is also a great colour for summer! If you’re not a fan of super bright orange polish then this shade is a fantastic way of getting in on the trend with something a little more muted.

Never Enough is my favourite from this post. This is a very pretty vintage pink colour! If you’re not keen on bright or baby pinks then this is the polish for you. It’s a nice in between that’s perfect as an everyday polish.

Boy Needs A Girl is very similar to Call Me Naïve. Another cute pastel pink!

Which of these polishes do you like the most? I think they’re all great additions to any polish collection! :)

Makeup Revolution: Nail Polish Swatches Part 5

For part 5 of my Makeup Revolution nail polish swatches I have 4 gorgeous shades to show you!

Emerald Eyes is a striking metallic green. A really fantastic bold polish!

Cool Days is a lovely fresh pastel blue. This definitely needs 3 thin coats to get a nice even coverage but it is a wonderful spring colour.

Trust Me is a gorgeous teal cream and a colour I particularly love. I’ve already worn this a couple of times!

And lastly is Wanted. This is a gorgeous light sea green shade in a metallic finish. Looking at this in the bottle I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do, it’s a spectacular mermaid polish!

Makeup Revolution: Nail Polish Swatches Part 4

Today I have part 4 of my Makeup Revolution nail polish swatches!

For this set I have 5 metallic shades to show you.

Cupid In Disguise is a very pale silver with underlying tones of pink and violet. The way this shimmers in the light is just wonderful!

Go To The City is a dazzling light gold polish. I think this is just beautiful! This is my favourite from this set of swatches.

Flawless is a lavender bronze colour. This is a really understated shade and would look great as an alternative to a regular nude polish.

Absolutely Flawless is the darker version of Flawless and is a more classic bronze shade.

No Good Waiting is a very dark brown/bronze and my least favourite of this set. Possibly because it reminds me of my not so fabulous 90s polish collection! A great polish if you are a fan of metallics though!

Makeup Revolution: Nail Polish Swatches Part 2

As promised, this post is swatches of the last four polishes from my Makeup Revolution haul.

As with the last set of swatches, all these photos are of 3 coats in natural light and with flash on.

To start off is True Blue which is a really lovely pastel cream. This soft shade is stunning and I love that it still looks nice next to my pale skin. This would look great with a tan too!

Call Me Naïve is a very delicate nude pink that looks almost white in some lights. I think it’s possibly the palest pink I’ve ever seen! It’s very subtle and dainty.

Next is maybe my favourite, You Need Love. This is a truly wonderful pink! I adore super girly shades and this is definitely that. It’s a very sweet colour!

Lastly, I have Streetcar Desire, the only glitter polish from my haul. It’s a gorgeous sparkly pink made up of two differently sized flecks in a clear base. I’ve added one coat over the top of You Need Love. I absolutely love these two together!
