Primark’s Urban Nails

I’m really impressed with how Primark have been keeping for up to date with their beauty products, especially when it comes to nails! They have so many great kits from glitter, confetti to caviar nails! And fantastic little sets of co-ordinating polishes! The choice is really wonderful.

So today I am sharing my thoughts on their Urban Nails set that I picked up last week for just £2!

There are other colours of the Urban Nails but I got this one as the glitter topcoat looks like a really good dupe of L’Oreal’s Confetti Topcoat.

Here’s how the pink polish looks on it’s own..

Urban Nails 3

You can’t really tell from this photo but even after applying two coats this looks streaky and uneven. The formula isn’t great, it’s very stiff and hard to paint neatly onto the nail. This actually reminds me of the ‘paint your own stained glass window’ kits I used to have as a child in the 90s. It even smells similar! Not a great polish at all!

Luckily, the topcoat was much better. The consistency was good, not too gloopy and the glitter went on very well. Unfortunately, the drying time is a little longer than I would like but the effect is just too unique to not use this again.

To me this has more of a Minnie mouse vibe than that of urban street art. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know, but this just feels a little too young for me so I gave it a go over a different polish.

This is how it looks over Sinful Colors’ Innocent.

I think I much prefer this! Definitely more of an urban feel with this than the pink.

This isn’t the best polish set I’ve ever bought but it also isn’t the worst and at only £2 it is still very cheap. Even though half the set is pretty much useless the stunning glitter more than makes up for that. I think it would look truly amazing and unique layered over anything other the colour it came with! What do you think?

I’d love to know your thoughts on this or any other Primark nail polish you’ve tried!
